Board update, Term 2

We hope you’ve all had a chance to look over The Leap from ‘Having Faith’ to ‘Having Facts’, which was emailed out to parents and placed outside classrooms last week.
This outlines the significant achievements made at CMS this year and the investments made for our future. Soon the draft of our new strategic plan that looks to the 10 years ahead will be circulated for comment as well.

We have some big plans as you can see, and we believe the results of these initiatives will be:

  • Improved educational outcomes for students
  • Increased consistency across the classrooms
  • More training and development opportunities for our staff
  • A tighter-knit community
  • A stronger position for the school as a whole.

Possibly of most interest to all, however, is our new building, for which there will be a display at the Fair this weekend!

Plans have been finalised and ground will soon break for the new building to adjoin the Jacaranda rooms. From term two 2016 we will have two brand new cycle 1 classrooms and a brand new home for cycle 3, paving the way for a strong CMS into the future across all cycles. We encourage all families to drop by the display and have a look at our future footprint unfolding.
Speaking of the Fair…. we look forward to seeing everyone there and remember, it’s never too late to sign up to help out!
We’d like to thank everyone involved for making it such a special day for the children, and raising important funds for our community. We also look forward to seeing lots of families and CMS trick or treaters at the Narooma weekend!
