Right from the start of our Holder Campus, creating an outdoor environment that was not only a beautiful place to be in but also supported the learning of our children was a priority. Our Learnscapes committee is a group of horticulturally enthusiastic parents who continually work on projects around the campus to increase the beauty and function of our outdoor spaces. Recent projects include improving the irrigation around the entire campus, planting the eucalypt forest at the back of the school and creating swales around our trees to improve water retention and provide a series of natural paths and islands for our children to explore.
Whether you’re a trained landscape gardener, a weekend potterer, or just handy with a shovel and wheelbarrow, Learnscapes is a great group to be involved with. Join the committee, or just keep an eye out for the various planting days and working bees that take place throughout the year.
